When I glue up panels, the boards slip and slide around as I clamp them together. What am I doing wrong?

You could be using too much glue. Try applying a light coat of glue to each surface, then rub the boards back and forth against each other a few times. You’ll feel the glue become a little tacky, which will help the boards stay put while you apply the clamps.
Doing this will also help remove excess glue, distribute it evenly, and create a thin, strong glue line.
