Gorilla Glue White vs. Clear: What’s The Difference?
Clear Gorilla Glue is suitable for bonding granite, metal, and most plastics. However, it won’t adhere well to polyethylene or polypropylene plastics. It is similar to Original Gorilla Glue, offering the same great strength. However, it has the added advantage of a crystal clear cure and non-foaming formulation.

Technical Info
My Hands-on Test of Gorilla Clear Glue

I was impressed right away by its versatility in bonding granite, metal, plastics, glass, even fiberglass car bumpers.
✅Pros
I applied some Gorilla Clear Glue to the area where the hinge attached to the door frame, stuck the hinge back on, and let it set overnight. To my surprise, it held the door just fine! Now, I understand that this is a light mobile home door, but still, it exceeded my wildest expectations.

Glue a Wheel Back
There’s more. This product also helped me glue a wheel back on my coffee table. In two days, I flipped over the table and it was good as new! I was impressed with how well the wheel held up. I used disposable gloves, so I didn’t have to worry about getting glue on my hands.
Gluing Metal Earring Posts to Wood
This glue holds better than other glues I’ve tried, and it’s a lot easier to work with than messy options like super glue and E6000.
Also, it works great to hold small pieces of wood together with clothespins. You can align the pieces before it dries, making it a versatile and reliable adhesive for all sorts of stuff.
Application
Applying Gorilla Glue is easy and it lasts a long time. This glue has helped me fix so many things. If your bed frame is broken or your floor tile is loose, Gorilla Glue can help. You’ll have to wait a bit for it to cure, but it’s worth it. I even glued glass to rock with it, and it worked great.
❌Cons
One of the drawbacks of this product is that it dries up and hardens in the bottle too fast. It’s a shame, since the glue itself is great, but I’d advise being mindful of this and using it quickly.

My Hands-on Test of Gorilla Glue White

The strength of this glue is remarkable, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. I have used it to repair various items and it has performed exceptionally well.
✅Gorilla Glue White’s Convenient Design
I like the convenient top design of this glue. This glue doesn’t get stuck like some other glues, so you can use it again and again without hassle. It consistently delivers excellent results, so I’ve bought it multiple times.

As it dries, it foams up a bit, so you have to wipe off any excess before it hardens. With this industrial strength adhesive, a little goes a long way. To keep it from drying out, I squeezed out the air in the bottle and stored it doubled up in plastic bags.
Gorilla Glue White Vs Super Glue
I reattached a wire bird cage that had fallen apart for one project. It bonded solidly in about 24 hours to a rock solid finish. This same repair had failed with super glue. Also, I used it to glue wood pieces together, and clamping is a good idea to keep it from creating gaps as it cures.
Dissimilar Materials
It worked great when gluing dissimilar materials like plastic to metal after dampening the surfaces first. This is how I fixed a cracked stone piece of jewelry. It’s important to use just a little – if you use too much, it leaves behind white bumpy residue.
❌Cons of Gorilla Glue White
However, this glue isn’t recommended for certain applications. The glue can’t handle high heat, like gluing a copper pipe to a steel barrel at 200°F. It won’t stick to polyethylene, polypropylene plastics, memory foam, drywall, or automotive parts like reattaching rearview mirrors. There’s a risk with rubber and leather, like boot soles.

Can I use Gorilla Clear Glue to glue a glass table with a metal stand?
Clear Gorilla Glue is suitable for bonding metal and glass surfaces. For structural applications, we recommend using mechanical fasteners in combination with the adhesive.
